FOCUS for DayZ: Regular Cheat, DMA Version and Web Map — Which to Choose

The FOCUS developer has three products for DayZ at once, and at first glance they duplicate each other: all of them have players and loot. In fact these are three different approaches to one task — surviving and finding gear before others. The first is a classic DayZ cheat with aimbot and ESP. The second is a DMA version that runs from a second computer. The third is an interactive web map that shows everything around you from above. In this review we go through each option and help you choose one for your play style.

The three products in brief

All three products are made for DayZ from Steam. The Windows requirements are the same: 64-bit Windows 10 build 22H2 or Windows 11 build 25H2, an Intel or AMD processor.

FOCUS: a cheat with aimbot and ESP

The main product is a simple, clear cheat without extra tabs. DayZ ESP doesn't lose players behind hills, walls and in fog. For each one it shows the nickname, distance and exact health, and the silhouette is outlined with a box and skeleton. The infected are configured separately with box, skeleton and distance — handy for avoiding crowds of infected in towns and staying quiet.

Loot is highlighted both on the ground and in containers: box, name and distance. Categories are toggled separately — weapons, medicine, food, ammo and other. You can keep, say, only weapons and ammo when heading to a military base, and only medicine if your character is wounded.

The DayZ aimbot in FOCUS is configured by aim point, key, FOV radius and smoothing. Targets are chosen flexibly: players only, zombies only or everyone. The FOV circle on screen shows the working area.

The menu is opened with the Home key and has six themes and a free choice of accent color. Every ESP element can be colored separately — from the skeleton and health bar to the FOV circle and loot highlighting, and ready-made sets are stored in profiles.

FOCUS DMA: the same idea, but from a second PC

If you specifically need a DMA cheat for DayZ, this is the option for you: this version is meant for those who don't want to run anything extra on the gaming computer. The program runs on a second computer and takes the data it needs from the gaming PC's memory through a DMA card installed in a PCIe slot. Only the game remains on the DayZ computer, so the BattlEye anti-cheat has almost nothing to latch onto in the system.

In terms of features the DMA version focuses on ESP: players with boxes, skeleton and distance, loot with boxes, names and distance. There are seven loot categories — clothing and containers are added to the basic ones. The F2 key turns on a black-background mode: this makes it easier to overlay the ESP image on the game with a fuser or show it on a second monitor. Configurations are saved by name, and the menu has search.

FOCUS Web Map: an interactive map with players

The third product is not a cheat in the usual sense but a DayZ map with players and loot. It supports 28 maps and detects the current one by itself, can switch between satellite and topographic modes, and shows a coordinate grid, a scale bar and an overview.

Your own position is marked "Me", and the map can follow your character. Other survivors are visible with nicknames and remaining health, the dead are marked too, and coordinates and altitude are shown for each point. Zombies, cars and boats are shown separately. Loot is divided into 11 categories with filters and colors.

The map window stays on top of DayZ or goes to a second monitor, transparency is adjustable, and the map itself doesn't steal focus from the game. Which to choose

• •Want to shoot more confidently and find loot fast — the main FOCUS. Aimbot, player, zombie and loot ESP on one screen, the lowest entry price.
• •Already have a DMA setup or planning one — FOCUS DMA. The cheat doesn't run on the gaming PC, and ESP is output through a fuser or to a second monitor.
• •Don't like boxes on screen and want to see the whole picture — Web Map. Handy for long treks, finding cars and hunting for camps.

Safe play tips

1. DayZ servers are often run by their own admins — don't run straight to a player in a house where you couldn't have seen them.
2. Turn on the aim with a small FOV and high smoothing; against zombies you can be bolder.
3. Filter loot: all categories turned on at once turn the screen into chaos and distract from threats.
4. Keep the map on the second monitor in topographic mode if elevation and terrain matter.
